We are excited to unveil the Yard Sign design. We’ve been working with Graphic Designer Diane Weber and are so happy with the results! Yard signs can go out as of June 23, 2016! You can use the volunteer form to request a yard sign or just email us! We are looking for many locations in the district to place signs on private property. Please let us know if you have a location (residential or business) that you could help us obtain permission to place a sign. We need to get Andy’s name out widely to establish candidate recognition.
You’ve got to see the newest playground in Woodbury! Andy joined other candidates in attending the grand opening of the Madison Place Playground by the Bielenberg Center at 4125 Radio Drive on June 4th. The playground is amazing – it’s has 16,000 square feet of inclusive equipment! It has a ramps for wheelchair access and has sensory play equipment. It is fast becoming a family favorite for our kids. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, add it to your summer list of great family destinations in Woodbury! The Madison Claire Foundation fundraised for 6 years to make this playground possible, what a wonderful partnership with the City of Woodbury.
Andy joined more than 40 Republicans that met outside the Secretary of State office in view of the Capitol this morning for a Candidate Filing event.
Speaker of the House Kurt Daudt addressed the crowd and shared an update of how the 2016 Legislative Session ended. He shared that Minnesotans are frustrated with Governor Dayton and the Democrats putting light rail funding ahead of Minnesotans’ safety on the roads. If a special session is called, the Speaker urges Governer Dayton and the Democrats to agree to the transportation bill originally submitted without making any last minute changes that would adversely affect Minnesotans. The Speaker talked about the strength of the candidate pool in 2016 and was confident Republicans would gain seats in the House and flip the Senate, noting that Minnesotans will hold Governor Dayton accountable for placing politics ahead of Minnesotans’ needs.
Following the address, candidates posed for group photos and celebrated the launch of their campaigns.

The Turonie family is excited to support Andy in his run for the MN State House District 53A seat. We are in the process of getting a campaign started.
Our first tasks include getting this website up, working with a graphic designer on a logo, developing yard signs, stickers and buttons, as well as promotional literature for mailings and lit drops. We are also interested in getting Andy in front of as many people as possible so we would love your help in identifying community groups or events where Andy could meet residents, community organizations and business owners. If you know of an opportunity, please contact us via email.
If you are interested in volunteering to help, we could use your time or talent as well as financial support. We will need support with placement of yard signs, door knocking to share campaign literature and help in organizing our outreach. Please contact us to learn how you can get involved today!
